differences between rear ends in............?
differences between rear ends in............? 3rd gen f-bodys vs. the ls1's, are they pretty much the same mounting brackets and all, I can get drag prepped rear ends for the older model cars but I havent done much research for my ls1 yet, anybody can educate me?, or got a web site for a company that makes ls1 rear ends?, thanks 
Re: differences between rear ends in............? THe third gen rear ends are about 2 inches narrower than the fourth gens. This will require you to use the older (or different) rims. You will also lose the sensors for abs and tcs (if you have it). If you order a rear end from almost any of the aftermarket suppliers (moser, etc) for a 4th gen car, it will be the correct size and you have the option of abs and tcs sensors. I'd check around before switching to an older style rear end, and dealing with the abs problems that will cause. Just some thoughts....good luck!
