Another 3.42 --> 4.10 question

Another 3.42 --> 4.10 question Sorry, I tried searching and all I found were pages and pages of "3.73s are a waste" and "who cares about gas mileage anyway" answers.
So, I'm pretty new to M6s and I was just wondering how the day to day driveability of a car would change with gears.
Do the shorter gears make it easier to take off from a stop without using the gas (not that its hard in an F-body)? and how did your shift patterns change when you guys installed 4.10s? I know a few guys that rarely did the 1-2-3-4-5 even with stock gears.. so if you've done the switch would you mind lettin me know how you shifted before and after?

I'm daily driving my car with 4.10 gears. No real complaints here, gas mileage suffers a little but nothing too bad. As for taking off from a stop, I still do it the same as I did with the 3.42 gears. I use the gas for all take offs, I think it's easier on the clutch by doing that rather than taking off without it, but I'm not 100% sure on that, someone else on here can probably give you more info on that. As for shifting through all the gears, I would occasionally use the skip shift with the 3.42 gears, and now with the 4.10 gears I use it a lot less. Another change I've noticed is that I use 5th more when before I would use 4th with the 3.42 gears. No regrets with going with 4.10 gears though. Hope this helps.
