driveshaft loop problem, help! I just bought the Jegster driveshaft loop for the F-bods and it only looks like I can use 2 of the 4 bolts if you look at this pic you can tell that it is not as wide as the Lakewood or the SLP. Have you guys got any input?http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...57228_-1_10061 |
That's right! You should be using 4 total. 2 on one side and two on the other. My BMR only uses 4 total, so you should be good. |

I can only get 2 bolts in not 4 the bracket on the loop don't seem wide enough. Should I scrap this thing and get a Lakewood , or what does anyone think? I called Jegs tech support on this and they seem as sharp and a butter knife. USELESS By looking at the link, does it look like it will only fit a 82-92 or what? |
82, 93, 02.....all the same :) |
well if they are all the same, how come it won't line up right? Like I said, by looking at the jegster one vs. the lakewood one the spacing between the two bolt holes on both sides are about an inch and a half off. any feedback on this? |
I would return it! |
All the bolts should line up fairly easy! |
I guess the jegster one sucks? lol I looked and Lakewood sells one for 82-92 and 93-02... I can get you the lakewood one for $50.99 plus tax...that's $1 cheaper than Jegs ;) plus you don't have to pay they're shipping and handling or whatever! |

Got a PM from someone selling an SLP D/L for $50.00 might go with that. |
um that says 1982-2002. I might be wrong but I think the body changed in 1993? Not sure if 98-02 is even the same as 93-97? anyways I think you're right, those bolt holes don't look as far apart as it needs to be. Don't know what the SLP is like but I bought the lakewood for my 98 Z28 and I love it. It fits really tight to the tunnel, and it goes up and over the exhaust instead of down under, so I know it's not going to make me lose ground clearance. My UMI brace dragged a lot and at stock height! the only grudge against the lakewood is that the driveshaft weight is freakishly close to the loop, but I have a few thousand miles on it and no problems yet, not even little taps against each other :) |
