Default 9 inch lsd

My car has a 9inch rearend , last nite i was going to race another car , but when i was warming up my dr's i looked back at my tire marks and only one tire is spinning the other one is sitting still, what type of lsd do i have , can it be fixed .

You could have a Trac-loc unit which uses clutches or an Auburn posi which uses a cone. Either way both wear out over time and the best unit would be a Truetrac. They are preloaded and are gear driven so they do no twear out over time.

The Auburn is non rebuildable and the Trac-loc can be rebuilt but over time you are going ot run into the same situation you have now.
