I have one of their 700r4 trannies in my 83 Monte. I haven't had any problems with it and its been in there for about 3 years now. The car primarily is a weekend toy with quite a few trips to the track. I originally went with one of their converters, but recently switched it to a Vigilante 3200. For your best performance, I think I would get the trans from them, but go with a Precision or Yank converter. Good luck if you take that route.

i have one, but JUST finished installing it. so far it is pretty awesome, fast shifting, and not a drop of fluid on the ground, but since it is winter time here, no track times at all.

i do know they are very competitive on pricing and know their trannys. they are not the super pricey units like FLP or other companies. i am pretty sure it is a top notch product. i know of frinds that had success with their other products

by the way, what is Art Carr pricing out their trannys for now?

I've talked to Scott at Art Carr and the prices and product sound like a good deal. Are any of you guys running a Art Carr 700/4L60 extreme transmission? How do you like it? Thanks for the input! Travis
