Hitting rev limiter
Hitting rev limiter I didn't know where to post this. What's the main cause of hitting the rev limiter on downshifts? It's fine when going from 1st to 2nd. When I'm in 2nd and go WOT to 1st, then it doesn't shift into 2nd, just hits the rev limiter many many times. I have to let off. Is this transmission related? Should I seperate my shift points from my rev limiter more?
Re: Hitting rev limiter I would look at the programming issues first. Your 2-1 downshift threshold may be too high. Try lowering your mph that you can perform a 2-1 downshift before you raise your rev limiter. If this doesn't fix your problem, then look at the tranny.
