10 Bolt Posi HELP!!

10 Bolt Posi HELP!! I am putting another 10 bolt in my car, however this has a Posi, not the Limited Slip like my previous 10-bolt. Upon inspecting the rearened i noticed this bolt going thru the housing, it was finger tight. Looks like something went thru the bolt, i went to GM and they cannot find what i am needing. Here is a pic of the rearend and the bolt, what goes onto that? Can i run the rearend without that part?

No, you need the spacer block. Either call one of the differential vendors or SLP has a two piece that is used when you go with higher gear ratios or from a 2 to 3 series carrier with thick gears.
Thats the block for the Torsen rear thats missing. Really sucks because I have one at home I could give you. I have no one to get it and ship it and I don't know when I'm going back.
The easiest way would be the SLP as said above, it's the same block cut in two so it fits with the thicker ring gear that 4.10's have. That would be a one call hassle free order.
You could try the dealer, you might need a VIN for a 2000 and up because the '98s used Auburn diffs and a pin instead of a block.
