Creaking noise from rear?
I have noticed when going over large indentations in the road, or going over bumps, I can hear a creaking/squeaking noise coming from the rear. Is this coming from the rear springs? Is there something I can lube to get it to quit? any help would be appreciated. Also the car is a 2000 Trans Am, and everything is stock.

Do you hear it from one side only? If so it is most likely a crapped out shock. Look for fluid on the shock, it's a tell tale sign. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Snootch,
It could be your bushings need greasing. My bushings started creaking as soon as it got cold. Took it to the dealership and they lubed my control arm and sway bar bushings. Quiet now.
