My LT1 in the sig did pretty good with a 108k mile 10 bolt, 3 hard seasons before it started to whine. If I put a decent stall above a 2000 that I ran the 1.7X 60 foots with then It would not have lasted as long.

So a different cover (girdle) would help this problem?

Note:this is my PREVIOUS car....

01 A4 TA with 3.23s in a completely un-touched 10 bolt went 11.20s on Nitto DRs pulling 1.6x short times. The autos are MUCH friendlier on the 10 bolt. I blew the posi with my current car on the 1-2 shift at the track on Nittos

Cam only numbers in my signature were on a 10 bolt. It lasted three years, but I crashed the car before the rear gave out. The one in this car has 60,000 on it and I've gone mid 1.5s on a full slick and mid 11s in the 1/4, soon to be low 11s

my car had a girdle when this happened. a girdle is used to put pressure on the main bearing caps to keep them from flying out the back of your rear cover. the only thing that would have really helped this would have been an axle brace.

Zexel Torsen HD diff, GM 3.73's, stud kit, aluminum rear girdle w/preload bolts, Redline 75W-90 with the numbers in my sig - no problems (course I get no traction either so that helps )
