Default ACPT Question.....

I just got my ACPT driveshaft that I ordered from LG motorsports. The only pictures I have seen of these things have been on cars on this site. All of the ones I have seen, you can see the CF weave on the shaft. But when I opened mine today I noticed that it has a black, almost shrink wrap around the whole thing. This is supposed to be the strong one but I dont know alot about these things. I got it mostly for reducing the high speed harmonics for the Open Road Races. Can anyone give me any info on this particular shaft? Like how much HP can it handle etc. Any info. would be appreciated

Show me a pic and I'll tell you if it's like mine. If it is you need not worry about overpowering it. It's supposed to take 2000 HP+ without a problem.

It has all of the 1350 hardware on it also. How are these for taking shock loads from an M6?

PSJ? PSJ?!? Ok, no more help from me!

Hard to tell from that pic but if it has the big hardware and is more black than it is green, it's probably the right one.

That shaft is the next best thing to indestructible. When I told Mark Williams I wanted to run NA 8s on a transbrake and then later spray it, this is the shaft they recommended. They said that have lot's of folks in the 2500 HP range running that shaft off of transbrakes without a failure to date.

Dropping the clutch off the rev limiter is similar to the shock impossed by a tranbrake. You have nothing to worry about.

OH ****!!! I cant believe I did that! Sorry....lol. I was reading one of his posts right before I replyed to you.

There is a part number on the shaft of 0802049 2. I think I paid right around 700.00 on a gp price for it. In the right light it almost looks like its a brownish/black with a hint of green in it.
