Adjustable M/C - HELP!!!!!!

Adjustable M/C - HELP!!!!!! Ok. Thought I finally had everything sorted out after the engine rebuild/clutch replacement, etc, but apparently not...
I've got two questions that I'm sure an expert (ie, you guys) should be able to answer for any idiot (that'd be me).
Took the car out 2 nights ago and decided to get on it a little bit; tried to shift from 1st to 2nd at ~ 6600rpm, but no dice. Was finally able to get it into gear after I let off. Ran into the same thing on the 2-3 shift. I'm guessing that the clutch is dragging at higher rpms and the adjustable master needs to be tweaked a little to get the engagement point up a little higher.
Question 1: Which way do I adjust the rod, clockwise or counter-clockwise to move the engagement up a little??
After playing around with the adjustable master last night, I had very little pedal pressure when I started it up this afternoon. I DID NOT disconnect the hydraulics from either the master or the slave. I did check the fluid level in the tranny (and lost a little fluid in the process), but I don't see why that would affect hydraulic pressure.
Question 2: Why would my pedal pressure be so low after trying to adjust the M/C?

Re: Adjustable M/C - HELP!!!!!! I have the Mcleod adj. m/c and you have to have the rod adjusted so it just slips over the clutch pedal pin so you want to turn yours counter clockwise. You should not have to push your clutch pedal in to slid the rod over the clutch pedal pin. I'm not sure about your pedal pressure but Mcleod say's if you have your rod adjusted to far down that preloads m/c and that causes all kinds of problems with the m/c so just adjust it back out and the pressure should straighten back out.
