Adding traction control???

Default Adding traction control???

Me and the G/F are shopping for an LS1 for her as she now has the speed itch (thanks to me ). It would be her DD and I think traction control is a good idea (mostly for the rain). I've been reading the stickies and know I need to get a 4 chanel rear, but what else would I need to make everything work? Is it a pain in the *** and we should just wait for a car with TC or is it not that hard to wire everything up. All experiences and opinions welcome.

I'd leave it alone. Ordered my car with tc and I think it's pretty useless. Never turn it on even in the rain.

ya an option you really do not need. + if you take it to the track and forget to turn it off, you'll look like a complete moron. (Haven't done it yet personally but have seen others)

I think its useless in the rain as well. Only time it ever does anything is if I'm a bit careless when I first take off around a tight turn. I wouldn't get her an fbody if she drives fast in the rain.

The only advantage a car with TC has is the option to keep ABS and TC with a 9" rear end if/when you have to upgrade. But even still, the S60 keeps ABS for us three channel rears and even a few 9" three channels are in prototype stages right now...

Overall, I would not get TC but I wouldn't pass on a car just because it has it.

OK.. but no one answered the question. I have a 98 Z 3 channel 2:73. There are wires attached to the traction control switch block out plate in the dash. I am looking at buying a 3:42 4 channel to replace my 2:73 3 channel rear end. Can I just add the switch? Do I need an entire wiring harness? Do I need some other little black box? What do I need if I add the 4 channel rear?( NO I don't want to convert the 4 to a 3, that is a P in the A)
