What diff. do I need?
What diff. do I need? Im looking to buy a new diff. for a 9". Just not sure which one I want yet. Right now I have a locker in my car but, I hate it alot. This is a street car. If it was a drag car I would say go ahead and get one but, not for the street. I honeslty have no idea which one I got in there now. I know it is a detroit locker and it "clicks" constanlty around turns nevers quits and bucks real hard when turning sharp.The guy that installed it said it had a pin in it. That was probably the difference between mine and my buddies. He said it was a Pro street locker?? I don't even know if that is true. But, yeah I know that is what a locker does. But, my buddy also has one in his car and it bucks alittle but nothing like mine and his doesn't even click anymore after he put a few miles on it.
The only worries I have is my long term goals are to be close to 650 rwhp. I have already killed a True trac diff. So I was wondering if a soft locker would work. Right now I only have 400 rwhp but after my new tune and acouple upgrades I should be close to 500 rwhp.
