Default skip shift eliminator kit question ????

I just purchased a skip shift kit eliminator.
i received it ...it was a resistor..at first i was concerned but installed it anyway----it works awesome----the directions were simple and installed in minutes....has anyone had any problems with a resistor type skip eliminator ?
it only cost me $ 10 including shipping

Hmmm....you can go to Radio Shack and get 4 of them for 79 cents.

That's 20 cents per resistor I believe...unless my math is wrong.

Yeah, i had a problem when my resistor blew after about a year or so. It blew the fuse, which in turn engaged my reverse lockout at all times as well as set off a MAF code. It took a few days to finally realize that was the problem. No biggee though, just replaced the resistor and the fuse and everthing was peaches and cream from there on out. Good thing that as Mach Go stated, resistors are a dime a dozen at radio shack.
