Where did my post go?
I cant see it, but ~.492 is the knurl that I measured from a stock stud.
I went with an ARP 1/2-20 with a .570 knurl and used a 9/16 drill bit.
Now I have to find out why I cant see my post

I can't find the .570" knurl size in 2-7/8". ARP's is .580" knurl and Moroso is 560" knurl. What size bit would I use for either one of these?

What is the knurl size?
I wanted to know what the stock knurl size is on a 99 camaro wheel studs. I want to install longer wheel studs on the front. I was wondering if the Moroso 2-7/8" wheel studs would fit. they are advertized in the Summit magazine on page 274.
Here are the specs.
#MOR-46160 7/16"-20 X 2-7/8" , .560" knurl size for late GM disc/early drum brake.
Or is there any other method? Can you drill and thread for MOR-46200 1/2" X 20 X 3" screw in type for after market axles? Has anyone done this?
Any help would be appriciated.
Thanks
Tom

Re: What is the knurl size?
I thing they are smaller than that. I bought some wheel studs from ARP for the rear. I have a 9" but stock size wheel studs from autozone fit in it so I know it is stock sized studs. The part number I bought from ARP was 070-110-7708 advertised as a .509 knurl size. these DID NOT fit they were too large for the holes in the axles. I dont understand why either because these are the ones that thunder racing sells as stock replacements I'm going to have to pull my axles now and have them drilled for the larger studs.
