Differential cover torque specs
Sorry if this has been asked before. I need to change my differential cover gasket again since it is leaking. Last time I did it I only used silicone. This time I bought the gasket from the dealer, does anyone really torque these or just tighten snugly. Thanks in advance.

Watch the torque specs especially if you have an aluminum cover... Aluminum can't stand the compressive stress that steel can and it will crack. I've seen it done to aluminum oil pans on bikes.
