rear end Does any one have and idea on what rear end will bolt right on with out paying alot of money,i was thinking of a 12 bolt chevy or a 9 inch ford,what will have to be done to them,i know you can weld the old metal plates to the other rear end but would you have to cut the with or is there one you would not have to do that,iwas thinking about getting on from the junk yard.It wolud realy help if you'll would know of any thing about this,because the stock is about to give up.

Re: rear end well, you can fab up your own, but be sure and get a long housing. most of the 9" housings are kinda short,(50 something") and our rears are 64.5 end to end (less breaks) fabbing one up isint hard, it's just ALOT of work. advise: look into one of moser's bolt in housing and axle packages and get the parts you can as you have the money. they start at about 550 for the bare bolt in 9" and 950 for the housing and axles w/ tq arm brkt, so on and so forth. the 12 bolts are similar, but i'd rather have one w/ 9" style bearings on the outsides of the housing. i.e. c-clip eliminators. the moser style 12 bolt is this way and the older 1st and 2nd get pass car 12 bolts are c-clip style. go with an aftermarket housing at least, it'll save you a ton of time. good luck,
