3rd Gen Moser 9"

A friend has one for sale, do you guys know if it'll work on a 4th get F body? Are the brackets different?

I think the axle tubes are either longer or shorter, I can't remember.

the 3rd gen rearends are 1.5 inches narrower each side.

It will phsically bolt right up. Or it should atleast. It is narrower by a good bit. 1.5" sounds right, but I cant recall if that was total, or per side?? I think thats per side...

As an indicator...I am running a 4th gen 12 bolt in my 3rd gen. Im using 4th gen wheels as well. If I was trying to use 4th gen wheels with my 3rd gen axle, Ide need 2" spacers in the rear.

So...you can run the rear, but you'll need wheels set up with the 3rd gen offsets and specs. Which might actually look cool, since it will be "deep dished" compared to your fronts. Some guys like that look, and Ive seen it look pretty cool.
