He's actually semi-correct. You're gonna need a trans cooler. Even with a stock converter the tranny temps will get too high in the summer (at least, what I found via my testing with AutoTap). You'll burn out your entire transmission without one.
I suggest the B&M 24,000 cooler. About 50-55$ typically.

Guys, I've got a problem... I wanna install stall converter into my TA, but this tranny shop is telling me it's a bad idea. He's a certified guy, I know that, but he's saying that a stall over 2200-2400 is bad because all the slippage in it will make it (converter) overheat and burnout. Now, I'm trying to get stuff straight, so how things work, doesn't the computer control when the converter locks and unlocks so that there isn't slippage? I just need help and even some websites from "certified" professionals. I really need to know because my dad won't help me now that the tranny guy says the 'verter is bad. But yeah, that's about it. Like I said, I just need some solid facts so I can get help from my dad, cuz I really don't care what the tranny guy says. So yeah, thanks in advance.
