ABS,ABS inop, Ebrake lights are on
ABS,ABS inop, Ebrake lights are on OK i put on my 26x10.5 16 rear tires and the skinnies on the front 165r15s. I know this is most likely why its tripping it. My point is this isn't the first time I've had a similar set up and it didn't come on before!!! Same size fronts and 275/50/15 which is the same height rear tire. I drove the car to a friends house and the gas station with no probs then coming down the highway I went up to 110MPH and came back down and the damn things came on. I thought no biggie. I got off the exit, turn off my car to reset it. Lights are off and i have no worries. I drive like a mile normal and bam they are back on!! Can I trick it a bit with HPP3? anyone? Lets consider the worst what would it be? One of the sensors? Crap I just got this rear and all of the ABS/TCS on it damn it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> i'm gonna cry!
Re: ABS,ABS inop, Ebrake lights are on You need a tech 2 or simular scanner to retrieve the codes & see whats wrong. There is no fooling the abs/tcs system I ever heard of, short of removing bulb in the cluster.
Re: ABS,ABS inop, Ebrake lights are on Don't forget those skinnies on the front are severely limiting you're traction on the front brakes. Slipping causes you're abs to kick in. Ofcourse you know this but what I'm getting at is GM abs is meant to kick in once in a blue moon. The loss of traction in the front could be causing you're abs to go into overtime, The abs system will die if activated to often. I don't know how many sensors are hooked up to that abs light, but it could be a warning from a sensor somewhere you're abs is about to go out. Lord knows that could be expensiveto fix. So take go buy a six pack take it to the local mechanic near closing. Give the six pack to him, and ask him to scan you're obd and see what sensor is going off. Or if it is just an uneccesary warning. Paint the bulb black.

Re: ABS,ABS inop, Ebrake lights are on My car did the same thing the other night and my ASR turned off too...I think its cause it was in the snow and I overloaded the ABS and ASR...its happened a couple times but only when the roads are slick
Re: ABS,ABS inop, Ebrake lights are on I think your probably having a problem with the difference in tire sizes. The computer will see a difference in the rotational speed of your wheels and assume that you have a bad abs sensor (or some other problem), the difference in rpm may be exagerated at high speeds (it will still be off by the same percentage, but the actual rpm difference will increase with speed. I think the computer is seeing enough of a speed difference that it is setting a code. ONce you verify the codes in the computer, you'll know for sure.
Re: ABS,ABS inop, Ebrake lights are on If you figure out the problem, please email me & let me know what it was. I have had the same problem since I got my 12 bolt Moser. I have not had it scanned, and there is very little difference in my rear and front tires. The lights were not there before, with the 10 bolt. I already replaced the sensors in the rear. I'll get it scanned this Spring, after the motor goes back in.

I have both of those lights on, but I have my connector unplugged since I don't have ABS anymore.
