Swapping Posi for Spool ?

Swapping Posi for Spool ? I have a Moser 12 bolt with Eaton Posi, I am thinking about switching to a spool. This is a daily driven car, I've been reading about the pros and cons of running a spool.
I am wanting to know will I lose ABS or Traction Control if I switch to a spool?
ASR/TC I can live without, but ABS is nice to have on the streets, especially in rain.
I am finding myself racing more and more now. I am at test and tune almost 1 night a week and bracket racing every other weekend, not including the special events the local track has each month. I would love to get a spool in the rear.

Re: Swapping Posi for Spool ? The ABS/Traction controls sensors should be at the axle shafts, so I don't think it would be affected much with a spool. I really don't see any problems like that, now if you only have the center reluctor that is on the carrier (ABS only cars), it won't fit on the spool and you would loose ABS.

Re: Swapping Posi for Spool ? None of my guys in my club got a spool except for one nut...and he didn't keep the car anyway.
The guy that bought it ended up getting it set up for ABS.
I'd stick w/ the 12 bolt that keeps you streetable...just IMO.

Re: Swapping Posi for Spool ? I run a full spool in mine as a daily driver, have driven the car from kentucky to texas, alabama, tennessee (several times), and missouri. Driven in rain, dry weather and even been caught in the snow before. The chirping around corners does draw attention but the driveability is still there. Ya just gotta decide which way you are gonna head with the car in the future.

Re: Swapping Posi for Spool ? Why don't you just wait until you break the Eaton Posi unit first? That's what I did, but I have a six speed, so I decided to just go ahead with the spool. I would think that your Eaton would hold up for a while with your automatic car. I'm not gonna lie-the spool is pretty rough around slow turns with street tires, but you kind of learn ways to quiet it down (wider turns, softer tires, etc.) and I guess I'm getting used to it. It was just such a gamble with my car to buy another posi unit (more exensive than spool) and have it break again.
