what gears to get? so i have a 2001 trans am nhra edition....so my first question is what gears do i have and/or is there a way for me to tell on my own?
next i hear about people getting 4.10s what is the pros/cons of these gears or are there better ones out there? help me out guys

you have to call gm and give them your vin # and they will tell you what your car came with but if ytou have an automatic 410's are the way to go but your rpms will be high when going down the high way
If your an auto and use it for highway driving 3.73 are great @ 80 im sitting at about 2600 if I remember correctly. If your an M6 go 4.10 @ 80 you'll see about 2400 it will help even on the highway in 6th you will be able to pass cars rather than having to downshift.
I have 4.30's with my 6 speed and 9". Absolutely love the gears. 2150 RPM @ 75 MPH with 295/35/18's in the rear in 6th gear. I would highly recomend them if you were going to a different rear end.
