Do Gears affect smog
i was wondering if going from 3.23 to 3.73 is going to have a effect on me passing smog....im in CA.

No effect. They don't change your emissions percentages.

im not an expert on CA. emissions but i cant see how putting gears in your car would effect them at all. In terms of how your car will run, the only effect it would have is you would be running a higher RPM. The engine would still run the same. Its not like putting a big cam in that would make it produce a different kind of exhaust. No problem IMO.
