Leak...
So... I changed the fluid in my car and did spill a little bit but wiped it up. I drove the car literally 100 ft, and put it back in my garage because it was about to thunder storm.... there was nothing leaking when I parked it..about an hour later I look under the car and
I have a little puddle of fluid... could it leak out of the pinion seal just sitting there?
Edit: After doing a little searching, it seems 2002 cars had a different pinion seal? Is it possible that the pinion seal included in my install kit from Motive was wrong?
If so, does this mean the whole rear has to be taken apart again to replace it?

Would getting the 12471523 GM seal fix this problem?
I went to the Chevy dealer to just look at the seal for that part number, and it seemed a lot bigger than the one that came in the Motive kit.

An $8 part cost me a lot of trouble and money

So next time you buy an install kit, make sure the pinion seal is the right one for your car!!!!
