Feels hot under backseats ...differential? normal?

Feels hot under backseats ...differential? normal? Is it normal for it to feel hot sometimes right in between the backseats like under the seats....on the sides?....i never noticed it but people who I give a ride to teel me it feels a little warm!!I have put my hand right under the seats like in between the hump and the seat and it does feel hot sometimes....is this normal???

think about it....
1) hot air comming out of the engine compartment flows down the underside of the car and in the trans tunnle
2) a lot of heat comes off the hot exhaust system
3) the drive train gets REALLY hot (lots of friction) so all that heat radiates out into the already hot air and the underside of the body...
don't worry about it....its just hot....always will be...
think about it....

Thanks 2001 camaroguy....I was kind of worried but I thought it could have been normal...Although I was concerned when my little nephew said it was verty hot !(to his touch,only 9 yrs old.)....and then he replied that it smelled like something was burning!!.....But oh well ..........

plus, remember that the people in the rear seats are basically sitting RIGHT ON the floor so they are going to feel the heat more then the driver....
tell him...yeah...something it burning....thats why its called BURNING RUBBER!!!!!!
