wierd tranny noises

wierd tranny noises my t-56 started making funny noises this week.
it started with a slight whining/whirring when shifting up from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd, but not when down shifting.
and now at idle there is a whining noise like a bad bearing that goes when i push the clutch pedal.
what could it be?
is it the input shaft bearing?? ( pilot and t-out brg. are new)and where can i find upgraded parts for the tranny???
