A-4 LIFE EXPECTANCY

A-4 LIFE EXPECTANCY Anyone out there with any A-4 running better than 12.00 that has more than 100 passes on their trans and also drives on the street occasionally?
I've got about 120 on mine now but I imagine it will be time soon. It lasted about the same on the 1st rebuild.
ARE Stage 2 H/C, A-4 YTP4400, 4:11 Strange.
10.99 @123.37 with a 1.48 60ft. 3380 lbs.

Re: A-4 LIFE EXPECTANCY I still have the original stock tranny (no shift kit) w/47k on it and at least 500 passes. I have about 100 passes since I started running 11s.
Also, I drive about 15k on the street a year.

Re: A-4 LIFE EXPECTANCY I have 30k miles on my stock trans. 20k of that I've had a vig3200, w/3 washer transgo, cam, and full boltons. I have 100s of passes on motor, prob 20-25 on a dry kit. I also drive my car everyday that it doesn't snow. No problems at all. It doesn't shift as hard as it used to, but it never misses.

Re: A-4 LIFE EXPECTANCY I also have the stock tranny with 27k on it and usually dip down to the 11's on gas and have no problem with the trans, but won't be supprised when it goes bad. Ive had lot's of run on the track and many more on the streets of houston still shifting good " at this time". IT's seems like GM perfected the 4l60e in the LS-1 compared to the old the days in the LT-1's (those things will go bad and slip all the time)
Re: A-4 LIFE EXPECTANCY 11.7 with probably 200+ passes on the car. The transmission is untouched except for a converter and silverado deep pan, 56K miles
