rear running dry. what are some of the reasons for the rear to run dry? could there be a leak? if so where is it common, or is it just overheating in there and evaporating? I do not understand rearends very well.
Re: rear running dry. You got a bad leak. Look underneath and it should be quite visible. Mine leaked horribly at the cover but never ran dry. Check that and the pinion seal. One of them is your gremlin.

Re: rear running dry. thanks dude i figures that it was a leak but, didn't want to face it lol. I think it is the cover i looked around it and it did look grimmy. sprayed some cleaner filled it and watchin. hopefully it goes well now, and i find it. if it is pinion seal it comes from front and cover it comes from back right? thanks for the reply.

Re: rear running dry. That's correct. If it turns out to be the cover, don't bother buying a replacement gasket. Just use some good form a gasket. I use this stuff made by mopar and it worked great for me. Not a drop since I did it. The dealer (Idiots) couldn't get it to seal all four times they tried.
