It isn't the rear end so much as it is your choice of a posi. You should be looking at a locker or a spool doing what you are doing.

Spool if you don't care about driveability.

With that power and a six speed, you need a 9" rear or D60. No wonder you are busting **** up.

Bullshit. Read his post. He keeps breaking the posi, and that would happen even if he was running a posi in the 9" or D60.

A spool will fix your issues. It will also test the rest of the rear.

Uh, I read it many times. 6K RPM nitrous clutch dumps and making 650 RWTQ.

I will try again.

The 12 bolt is on the ragged edge of continuous breakage here and it would be foolish to throw good money on bad money considering the overall situation.

I would say a spool is needed and a set of progears if your not currently running them. Street gears are a little harder and will be the next week point if you go to a spool.

Are you saying you have 6" pistons, wow one hell of an overbore, and choking it down with a 52mm throttle bodie? anyway there are lots of single digit race cars running a 12bolt, making more power and torque. once he disasembles the rear and insp everything and build it for what he wants it wont flinch. and also a 9" also needs a back brace too make it stronger so the axle tubes wont flex and break them.

Yeah well when i got home that night from the track i opened up the rear to see what happened and on all the teeth off one of the spider gears is all gone....What is wierd is i have never seen fluid as mattalic silver as this....As soon as i popped the rear at the track i shut the car off and maybe pushed it a total of 50 yards so im thinking that i might have had a problem that existed before i arrived to the track...Last time out to the track it was holding up fine to a 1.5 sixty on motor i just guess that 13 PSI in a 10.5 slick and 125 shot out of the hole was too much.....You gotta pay to play lol
