Supra TT rear ends and stock CV axles are good for 1400+RWHP through a six speed. You will need a TRD differential ($900) and that's about all you can do to strengthen them. I believe the stock ring gear on a Supra is almost 9 inch in diameter. This is what all the 7-8-9 sec Supras run. The stock six speed transmission is good till 1400+RWHP as well. The drivetrains are real stout and well engineered on those cars with the only weak link being the stock driveshaft and stock torsen differential. However, the car was almost 50k new in 1994..and a decent stock one today will still cost 30k+ today..so with a car that expensive, i would expect a beefy drivetrain.
The non-turbo Mitsubishi 3000GT was FWD. When compared to any other car, import or domestic, the Supra has one of the strongest drivetrains out there.

the diff in the in the 2nd gen RX7's are supposed to be pretty stout as well considering their size which is similar to a 10 bolt as far as the ring gear goes
i have an 86 RX7 with a gen I SBC swap and the rear end has held up to some pretty good abuse at the strip so far 1.8 60's and a couple 1.7's dumping the clutch at about 3500 rpm
apparently from what i've read there are a lot of guys running in the 10's with a stock 2nd gen RX7 diff
one of my former roommates has an 89 240 SX with a SR20DET swap with a T3/T4 turbo pushing 26 psi on his E85 tune and he's putting down 475 rwhp and i've personally watched him at the track on slick dumping the clutch at the rev limiter without any diff problems despite a couple of broken half-shafts
