98 rear end in a 94????

98 rear end in a 94???? How much troulbe would it be to swap rear ends from a 98 Z28 and 94 Firehawk?
98 has traction control and the 94 doesn't.
The 98 has 3:73 and the 94 has 3:23, we want the 94 to have 3:73 and we thought we would just swap rears instead paying to have the gears taken out and installed.

Re: 98 rear end in a 94???? ABS or Non ABS car? The rear ends will bolt up the same, just dont have to worry about hooking up the traction control. My only concern would be the ABS, I'm not real sure on how it was setup for 94's.

Re: 98 rear end in a 94???? The only difference is the brakes. The Emergency brake setup is different. And the rear calipers are different. But it will all bolt up nice. For the Ebrake, just work with the cable to get it to work.

Re: 98 rear end in a 94???? I believe you will run into a problem with your swap then since the 98 is a trac-contol rear end. The traction control rears are setup for 4 channel ABS with a reluctor on each axle end. The non-tractio contol rears are set up for 3-channel ABS with a single relutor on the dif. If you don't mind losing the rear ABS, it's still a simple swap.
