Handling vs. Rearend Selection

Handling vs. Rearend Selection I'm looking to get a 9" soon, and up until recently i have been thinking that i just want my car to go fast straight..... well, so I was planning to do a spool when i got the rear end. Recently i've decided that if i'm gunna do it, im gunna make sure i'll be happy whenever, so i'd like to do whatever makes my handling best along with keeping it strong for the dragstrip. I dont know a whole lot about the detroit locker vs. truetrac vs. spool as far as high speed handling goes but i know spool is not what you want to do for low speed drivability(so i'd assume it's bad for high speed too?). I need more info on these overall.
I ran a detroit locker/4.88 for 5-6 years in a DD 427 mustang back in'67
now I run a detroit locker/3.73/A4 in the Y2K camero DD,
going to a 9" detroit locker/4.10 very soon
