STUPID QUESTION?

THIS QUESTION MAY SOUND STUPID. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> I JUST GOT AN M6,Z28. I ALWAYS DROVE AUTOMATICS. MY QUESTION IS HOW DO YOU DO A BURN OUT? WITH OUT HAVEING THE CAR TO DRIVE OFF ON YOU..

rev it up, dump the clutch stand on the gas and brake at once and youll destroy the tires

Easier said than done but is possible to do I was always worried about smoking the clutch.

I destroyed a pressure plate on a borg warner clutch in my '89 Formula that way....Blip the throttle, sidestep the clutch, grab the brake with your toe.....wait for smoke. I got lots of smoke...I was spinning the clutch at 3500 rpm, when I changed it a few days later, the pressure plate had started to "soften" in spots. But that is the technique, and with a good clutch, it works pretty well.
