rearend ????

I have noticed that when i am driving around i hear a loud whining in my rearend. It does it in any gear and any speed, but the faster you go the more you can hear it. You can only hear it when you let off the gas and are coasting. Any ideas????

is your rearend stock? mine made that noise in my old camaro after swaping 2.73s for 3.73s. Pinion bearing going bad? nah

Definatley a bad pinion bearing, Best to just do a basic rebuild with all new bearings assuming your ring and pinion is still good. Longer it goes the more damage you do.
