Yet another 3.73 question

Yet another 3.73 question I've seen the posts all over the place, but none of them answered my questions exactly . This ? is for the A4 guys. Right now I have the god awful stock 2.73's in and I've already got my 3.73's on the way. Will my gas mileage go to complete sh*t with them in? Also what kind of rpm's are you guys running at a say, 80 mph highway cruise? One more and I'm through. I've heard that the higher gears are incredibly hard on the rearend, is this true? I didn't understand why, seeing as you were only putting the gears in and not more power. Is spooling up quicker really that hard on it? Thanks in advance..

Well with those kind of rpm's at 80-85 (my normal interstate driving speed) I guess I may want to look into getting a beater, and leaving the Z for playing around on weekends. If you've had it for that long with no probs, then my simple bolt on car should be fine. Thanks for the reply..
