New to This, Advise please! I plan on purchasing a Camaro within the next couple weeks, and from everything I hear from guys they say that the rear ends suck in these things. I plan on keeping the car stock for a little bit but do plan on upgrading motor. I will have a little to spend right away and would like to do some upgrades. Which brings me to this thread, "gears and axles". Why GM put a rear end in these cars like they did is beyond me but what can you do. I would like some feed back from you guys. In the end I plan on having around 500-600 hp. I am looking for a solid rear end that will not have to worry about. I should also suggest i will do a fair amount of drag racing and weekend driving. On your recommendations I would like to know type of rear, who to get from, what you all are doing in regards to options and so forth. I need feed back. Kinda new at this and just looking for help. 
^yep. Some people have good luck with their stock rear ends and run them hard with no issues, but most (usually after some hard launches at the track with some good tires) usually tear apart on the inside.

Ok then on the 9". I looked through here and it looks like there is the m9, strange and the midwest. Any opinions on which one and why? Any advice is helpful. I just dont want to spend money on something that isnt going to last.
