No, they are grenades waiting to explode. Just had the one in my Avalanche replaced.

I took the plunge and threw one in my car even though I read what everyone was saying. The point is, no matter what I put in this rear is gonna blow. I got my gov-lok for $130 off eBay installed it and I've gone 2 months, numerous street abuse with 10 track passes and no breaks, noises or clunks yet. I know its a matter of time for this thing to blow but hell so is any other posi you put in here and if that doesn't blow then your ring and pinion for sure will. I just needed something to get me by at the time and the $130 investment has proven itself so far. The posi still locks perfect and leaves two nice black marks for as long as I stay in it. By the way the passes were 1.9 60fts with an atleast 375rwhp cam bolt on car (I haven't dynoed yet)...
