98 front brake drag

98 front brake drag Does all the 98 f-body have alot of drag on the front tires. And how can I fix it.

I put the front of the car in the air and tried to turn the wheel and it only turns about 1/4 turn. The car as bear rotors on it.
Any help is welcome.

Re: 98 front brake drag GM used a "retracting" piston seal on many of their brakes, designed to draw the pistons back from the rotor a very slight amount (to eliminate this drag). THe problem is, the amount they retract is very slight and if you increase the amount of clearance between the piston (and pad) and the rotor, you will run out of brake travel before you ever manage to stop the car. I don't suspect there is much you can do about it, other than to make sure you don't have any crimps or kinks in your lines (no brake lines were dented by a small rock, etc) and make sure your rotors are not warped.
