Default What exactly would I need...

For a new clutch setup?

Obviously the clutch itself. I think I'm set on a SPEC stage 3 clutch. What is going to be the differences between a ceramic or kevlar disc?

Also, I hear alot of people talking about new slave & master cylinders and well as a throwout bearing? Is this the same as a pilot bearing?

I've been looking at prices and a new clutch setup seems like it would cost me almost a grand! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Any help would be appreciated, I'm having the clutch installed by one of my car club's sponsors. TIA

I've had quite a few clutches in my car in the last few years. When I first replaced my clutch McLeod was still figuring out they had to shim it from the factory to relieve pressure on the slave and master cylinder. I've blown probably 10 slaves and 1 master cylinder. To make a long story short I've had every clutch in my car that is made besides the RAM (McLeod, SPEC, Cartek, Stock...). I now ended up back with McLeod with their Rev-Lok II setup from Thunder Racing. With all the problems I was having McLeod always helped me and finally gave me my money back in full for the first setup I got from them. This new McLeod clutch utilizes an iron disc and the stock flywheel. It is the exact setup Jason99TA is using. Just have the stock flywheel recut (only do this once) and bolt it in. It's an easy install. I would also buy McLeod's new master cylinder and a new stock slave, whichever McLeod recommends. I haven't had any problems in over a year with this setup at quite a few 6K launches. I heard Ram also has a good setup. They're probably all good now but I am sticking with McLeod.
