4.11 install & cost

4.11 install & cost How much should it cost to get Richmond 4.11s & kit installed? My local mechanic shop buddy told me $250 for labor, plus fluid price. Is the price about right? What fluids should I need?
Re: 4.11 install & cost We charge 250.00 plus fluid also. I think this is a very fair price for this type of install. A lot of times you will get the set up spot on and every thing goes great. Sometimes even the best measurments can come up a thousands or so off and you might have to re shim it to make it perfect.
Re: 4.11 install & cost SRP did my gears when they did the heads and cam install. SRP adjusted/reshimmed two times after install to get the gears perfect. Sometimes it just goes in place and sometimes they have to spend a lot of time on them - it varies. Also sometimes the gears are going to be noisy no matter who installs them or adjusts them - just the sorry nature of the 10-bolt. My SRP installed 4.10's are much quieter - almost silent compared to the 3.42's they replaced.
