Re: TA Girdle It helps a little bit but most of the time it's a gear that breaks. The cover can help reduce flex a little but the shock of hooking up is hard on the gears. The cover doesn't change that.

Re: TA Girdle BTW sometimes Nitro Dave has sales on gear kit's sometimes you can get the TA cover as part of a gear kit and might get a little better price that way than buy it all seperate.

Re: TA Girdle With the T/A Girdle, according to T/A Performance in Arizona, using a different diff than the G80, and 30 spline axles with their main cap stud kit and girdle, have shown consistant 500 to 550 hp levels with street tires, handle it all day and for years to come. This equates to about 400hp at the rear wheels. I would recommend that you get this, unless you never decide to soup up your motor, but if you are going to go over the horsepower ratings then a different axle would probably be better, especially if running slicks.
