Line Lock I am thinking of getting line lock so i can 'preload' my rear end so I can get a few good passes in with some drag radials and my NX kit. Only a 50 shot for now.
In addition to preloading, I'd also want to warm up the tires before hand. has anyone ever f'ed up anything in their car due to linelock? Preloading or anything? Any tips or info on negative effects would be appreciated. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Re: Line Lock I've had no problems at all with my line lock. I would guess somewhere around 100+ passes using it to heat up the tires. Only problem I've ever heard of was a friend installed his and stripped the threads in the ABS module, those are expensive!
Re: Line Lock You shouldn't have any problems as long as you are careful with it. When heating up the tires, ALWAYS make sure you release the line lock well BEFORE you let off the gas. If you let off the gas and you line lock is still on, then your tires will dead-hook but you won't go anywhere, thus transferring all that power to your suspsension components which will break. Also (assuming you have a M6) don't try to load the suspension too much, because you'll just end up roasting your clutch off the line.
Re: Line Lock I have had a line-lock on the car for 3yrs now.. The only problem I had is when the soleniod decided to stick shut and I had my front brakes locked.. I could not move the car. I beat on the thing and tried all sorts of things with the power.. Ended up disconnecting the lines to put the stock line back on...
The problem was it needed rebuilt... Routine maintenance would have saved me the hassle...
