Default TruTrac Noisey???

Just put a trutrac and 4.10s in my 10bolt and was wondering if the trutrac is a noisier differential or not. I am getting kind of a grinding noise, not a gear howl but more of a grinding type noise, Ive jacked the car up and spun the wheels and there doesnt seem to be any noticeably wrong. Any help is appreciated.

I searched a ton of message boards researching the TrueTrac and some make noise. A "whirring" sound going around corners seemed to be the most common complaint. If it starts popping and through the car you feel hard impacting shudders I would worry and yank the diff out. Otherwise I'd drive it. Maybe a different gear lube would help

Mine makes an occasional squeak on a very low speed, hard right hand turn. That's it. Quiet all other times. It's a 9" tru-trac, but not sure that would make a difference.

Yeah Iam kinda up in the air about it. I can feel it somewhat through the car right in the middle, so thats why Iam thinking its the diff and not the gears but then again if the gears arent set up right then I guess it could be the cause. Still dont know what to do.

Mine in my 12 bolt will make some grinding noise from time to time. It does it when I go around curves sometimes. I have heard a few say that they will make some noise like that.

I get the "whirring" noise in my 9in....takes 6k clutch dumps and still is fairly quite on the highway, just a tad bit of noise, Ive got a solid tunnel mount TQ arm. Which is where i think im getting most of my sound
