grinding noise under a load
grinding noise under a load i have searched but i want a straight answer. when i roll on the throttle moderately to heavy from a dead stop especially when i am on a steep hill i get this bad grinding sound for just a few seconds and then it stops. i also when i am coasting around 35-40mph and i lightly tap the throttle i have this light clunking noise. does this point to my u-joints, or something more expensive? also when i am running at 60mph and then at 80-100mph there is a hellacious vibration. HELP!!!

I would check your differential bearings, sounds like you have one going. Pull the cover and use a pry bar to pry side to side, watch and see if you can move the differential left to right.
