Default Ford 9" owners - question

I recently got a ford 9" and when I went to run my stock rims using my stock lugs, they did not fit. I have open ended lugs for my pro stars and they fit fine.

My question is what do I need to run stock rims. I will need a lug with the design of the stock ones, where its open on both ends so that it can fit on the long stud. Thanks for your help in advance.

To add to the question..

Are aftermarket studs IDENTICAL to stock ones? Why is it that some people have problems threading on stock lugs to aftermaket studs?

You need to verify that you have a 12mm stud first. You may have 7/16" or 1/2" studs versus the stock size.

I have 1/2 studs on mine and bought 1/2" acorn lugnuts from summit. They work fine with my stock wheels

All moser asked me when i Ordered my 9in was long or short and metric or standard. I answered Short and metric to match the stock ones, No problems with stock lugs or aftermarket ones.

Yeah sounds like you got the long stud option without asking for it. My stock wheels and nuts work fine with my Moser 9 inch. Now oil leaks, that's another matter!

why dont you measure the stock stud length to the 9" length? check into truck lugs, i think they are longer.
