Muffler delete
Muffler delete I just bought a 2010 2SS with a 6-speed manual. I was thinking of cutting the mufflers off and just running pipe, I researched and heard a few sound clips, but am curious as to if there are any problems that occur due to not having a muffler?

Got a muffler delete on my A6. Sounds amazing, even with AFM. I recommend it.
No problems whatsoever. I was scared about back pressure issues, but found out first hand that there are none, for I ran my best time out at the track after I got my muffler delete 13.3@106. With my mufflers I had only hit 13.4@105.

you should have no problems what so ever. SLP's loudmouth axle back is nothing more that a muffler delete with their tips. Magnaflow also has a muffler delete, but any shop can do it and not cost you 4 or 500 dollars.
I had mine cut off. Cost me $175. Here's the sound clip.
FWIW, I'm not crazy about it. It pops like crazy on deceleration and it's a bit raspy for my taste. I'm going to do something different soon.
