Default Remanufactured BCM

I have a 1996 Camaro, v6, automatic and the bcm was doing the whole radio/ Windows not working, parasitic draw etc. I bought a remanufactured one. The place I bought it from said it would need "flashed." I have read other places that this is NOT true and even the dealership in my area said that they didn' think it would need flashed. Do I just plug this thing in a see if it starts? Any help or input would be appreciated!!!

It seems that the correct procedure needs to be carried out when replacing the BCM in order for it to work properly. This should cover everything that needs to be done.
