So my factory radio went out and i bought another. After i installed it says LOCKED. Anyone know how to fix this?

 

I hate to be the bearer of bad news. But, radios in these cars are VIN locked. Now there may be someone out there that is able to get around this by sidestepping it. But here at the GM dealer, we have to get a new/refurb radio from our supplier, install and program. It then programs to the car and VIN. The chip is a one time write-only memory. We can update software but not change VIN
