I ordered a 2SS/RS black exterior/black interior with grey metallic rally stripes and hurst short throw...

I had to put a $500 deposit and I am paying MSRP....

Yes it was something that the ordering book was not allowing the dealership to change. They are changing it and updating it here within a few days, to make it able to upgrade to the polished on your RS...so call your dealership here in a few days and ask.

what nobody wants an automatic with displacement on demand?..lol The dealers are going to be full of them because everybody is scared of that system. I just heard my dad's friend is buying a 6cyl 6spd

orderd my red/black stripes 2SS w/RS 6 speed manual on 10/16. Dealer will take GMS if gm allows, otherwise MSRP. Now I just have to figure out what car to get rid of to have room for it......LOL

I was planning to sell the 4th gen so I would have more down payment. But now the wife throws a fit everytime I mention it because she wants the 4th gen when I get the 5th gen.

Depends on several things. Run a quick websearch for a "Car Payment Calculator" and plug in some variables (interest rate, term of loan, money down, loan amount) and see what it spits out. That is how I check when I buy cars. Do a little research before you shop, so you know what prices fall into your monthly payment range.

How much does the 2SS with RS package come to as a total? I knew that the 2SS goes for about $34K but I assume that the RS package isn't free, is it about $2K more?

FYI, the RS package on the 2SS is $1200.
