Default How much are you guys paying?

I just got a quote for $47,388 out the door from a dealer in Ventura County, CA for a 2SS/RS/A6. Isn't this really high?

I hear that there are plenty of people selling them for sticker...for that much you could get a freaking vette, tell them to SHOVE IT!

Do not feed the sharks. If your dealer won't sell at MSRP, go to another dealer. Even if it is out of state. One-way plane tickets are $100-150 in most cases. Buy the car over the phone and email, fly in and drive it home.

Mine is being built right now, and I am paying sticker....however if a dealer goes to another dealer to get one they are charging 4-5k over sticker.

Yeah I would tell them to shove it paying 47k for it rofl.

You can easily get what you want for around 35-37k. Just go on the Chevy site and build your car and that gives you a dam good Idea how much you will pay.

I'm going to wait a few years and buy a used one....I can't see paying $35k for a car that will be worth $20k in a few years.

$47.3K!! i can get a 2010 gt500 for $47,700. or a vette for $48,000. dont let dealers screw you over, the economy is bad enough without dealers trying to rob everyone with the new camaro prices, offer sticker and if they wont sell it to you go somewhere else. makes me so mad when dealers try to rip people off.

I work for a Chevy Dealer in VA. I've secured a majority of our early orders on the 2010 Camaro. I wouldn't suggest letting any dealer charge over MSRP when ordering. HOWEVER, do not expect to walk into a showroom and buy their only available in-stock unit at MSRP. It's simple supply and demand at that point. Someone out there will pay $5k over, and the dealer will wait for them to show up. Also, if you are a USAA member don't forget to ask for your $750 discount, AFTER they agree to MSRP.

Send me a PM if you are in our area and are interested in ordering, or would like some no BS answers from an industry insider.

Advantage Chevy in Bolingbrook IL has an Black SS with a $7,000 markup on the sticker due to Market demand. I left Sales Manager a message informing them they have lost all my service business along with any future purchases of vehicles for the insult.

Keep in mind Dealers can and do make $ on financing as well so even if you can find a car cheaper somewhere they may make it back on financing so shop around for that as well before your purchase.

I've got it in writing that my dealer is not going to charge me any more than the $32,7xx it came to on the Chevy website for a 1SS/RS BA system & since I've done so much business with them over the last few years (this is my 2nd car from them in 6 months) he said that MSRP is our starting point & all he will guarantee me, but he will probably sell it to me for less than MSRP. It may only be a few dollars, but still less than MSRP. It also helps that I told him if a Z28 comes out that I want to be on the order list from the 1st day he knows he can order them. So I guess I get a semi GM loyalty deal.

To figure out how high it is go to chevrolet.com & build one just like it, that will give you the MSRP & you shouldn't pay more than MSRP as stated in some posts above. I thought when I checked them out the most you could spend on a fully loaded 2SS/RS was around $39k, but that doesn't include the $4500 21" wheel package that isn't worth $4500 unless you just have to have bigger wheels & less gas mileage.

I saw one here in nc with a sticker price at 42,5xx. But the the MSRP was 33,3XX for the standard but with the options of the 21 inch wheels and the auto trans the sticker said it put the car at 42k.

I think the dealership was trying to hide their markup by charking 8k for the upgraded wheels and all in that package, but i'm not sure.

I paid MSRP for mine, minus $750 cash for using USAA.

2SS/RS A6 Rally stripes = $36330 + tax

Got it from O'Rielly Chevrolet in Tucson, AZ.
